Privacy Policy
The administrator of personal data (hereinafter referred to as the “Administrator”), within the meaning of Article 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”), is the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, with its registered office in Warsaw, ul. Księcia Janusza 64, 01-452, Poland.

The provision of personal data by visitors to the website (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) is voluntary, except in the following situations:
- when accessing measurement data, reports, or publications.
The Administrator uses visitors’ IP addresses for technical purposes related to the servers hosting the website. These addresses may also be used to generate statistical data, such as website visit analytics.
Personal data is processed by the Administrator for purposes including, but not limited to:
- compiling statistics on website visits.
Users have the right to exercise their rights under the GDPR, in particular:
- the right to request access to their personal data and to rectify it,
- the right to erasure or restriction of processing,
- the right to object to the processing or to the transfer of data to other entities,
- the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the supervisory authority.
The Administrator processes personal data with the utmost care and employs technical, software, and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access.
As a rule, personal data is processed for the duration of the contract concluded with the User of the website, or until the User effectively objects to further processing. Due to tax and legal obligations, personal data may be retained for a maximum period of 6 years from the date the contract ends.
Personal data may be transferred to entities authorized by law to receive such data and, to the extent necessary for the performance of the contract, to companies supporting us in the provision of services, such as:
- hosting providers.
Personal data may be subject to automated processing, including profiling, in order to present personalized offers.
